The emphasis at this small shop is on high-end Mexican arts and crafts, the likes of which have found their way to the Smithsonian and other well-regarded museums. One section holds unique designs of Huichol beaded sculptures; the owners supply artisans with Bali-carved mini masks and the highest-quality beeswax and tinier-than-standard beads in order to ensure both innovation and a superior product. The results are excellent and reasonably priced. During the summer months store owners travel to folk-art-rich states to purchase directly from artisans—such as Manuel Morales, a well-known Michoacán ceramist. Shop hours are 11-6.
