Festival Internacional de Cine de Puerto Vallarta

Fodor's Review:

PV's original extravaganza for movie buffs and movie stars alike is the Festival Internacional de Cine de Puerto Vallarta. Held during four days each March (sometimes April), the festival honors the best full-length feature film with a "golden iguana" award. Full-length, documentary, and short-subject films are shown around town at Cinépolis (about $4 each) or under the stars at Los Arcos Amphitheater; flyers all over town advertise the movies, or contact the movie houses directly. The public is invited to attend lectures and listen to discourses on local radio programs.
