A block from the beach, in an area with lots of good restaurants, Palmeras has small rooms with brightly painted interior walls and modeled-stucco sunflowers serving as a kind of headboard behind the bed. There's plenty of space to socialize around the large, clean, rectangular pool. The more expensive rooms are larger, fresher, and have a couch, satellite TV, and kitchenette; those on the second floor have a partial ocean view. Smaller, older, street-facing rooms are half the price of the newer units. Pros: Free Wi-Fi, inexpensive older rooms for bargain hunters, one the best small hotels in Bucerías. Con: Some rooms have odd layout.
