J&B Dance Club Review

People call it "Hota Bay" (it's how you pronounce the letters "j" and "b" in Spanish), and it's the best club in town for salsa. The age of the crowd varies but tends toward thirty- and fortysomethings. J&B is serious about dancing, so it feels young at heart. There's usually a band Friday and Saturday nights, DJ music the rest of the week. Those with dos patas zurdas (two left feet) can attend salsa lessons Thursday and Friday 8 to 9 pm (50 pesos) or take tango lessons for the same price on Monday at 8 pm. The dance club's cover is $8 when there's live music, otherwise about $4 and free on Monday and Tuesday.
