Yachties, locals, and other return visitors attest that everything on the menu here is good—start with mixed antipasto or fried calamari, and then move on to the signature fusilli with artichokes, olives, and lemons or the sautéed fresh fish with spinach and arugula sauce. And if you're not satisfied, the kitchen will give you something else without quibbling. Undoubtedly that's what makes Marina Vallarta's veteran restaurant one of its most popular. The dining room is diminutive and air-conditioned; the patio overlooking the marina is more elegant, with a chiffon ceiling drape and white ceiling fans. Since there are no lunch specials and the Italian menu is the same at dinner, most folks come in the evening.

This was the only Italian restaurant we tried on our recent trip to PV. The food was exceptional as was the marina view and the service. We especially liked the salmon pasta with the vodka sauce. My only recommendation is that they have more wines available by the glass. There was only one Cab and one Merlot available and it was so so. We will definitely go back.

too expensive. Will never go back. Many restaurants in Vallarta offer more than Porto Bello. Wine is too expensive and food are too expensive !
