Fodor's Expert Review Mark's Bar & Grill
You can dine alone at the polished black-granite bar without feeling too lonely, or catch an important ball game. But seemingly a world away from the bar and (muted) TV is the charming restaurant known for its delightful decor and international cuisine. Both can be appreciated on the back patio, open to the stars, or in the softly lit dining room. Menu standouts include the homemade pizza, the salads, and the macadamia-crusted fresh fish fillets with Thai curry. The lamb is flown in from New Zealand; shrimp comes from San Blas; and the black Angus beef is from Monterrey. Mixed organic lettuces, chives, and basil come from the lady down the street. The restaurant is elegant yet warm and inviting, with a golden glow over everything and, sometimes, roving musicians. More than a dozen wines are offered by the glass.
