Fodor's Review

One- and two-bedroom apartments in this spiffy property are truly homey. Each has a different floor plan—some have larger kitchens, but all of them are fully equipped. All also have air-conditioning, ceiling fans, and dark-wood beams that contrast with white ceilings and walls. Use the hotel's computers to check your e-mail, or curl up with a book or watch a video in the library. Coffee and pastries are served each morning on the garden patio, where guests (many of them return visitors) sit and chat. The location, a few blocks from Los Arcos and the malecón, is a real plus. With some exceptions, high-season bookings are by the week. Expect some homely but sweet rescued dogs to be wandering about.

Casa Andrea Review

A beautiful, quiet, welcoming oasis in the Old Town of Puerto Vallarta. Comfortable apartments around a stunning courtyard, fabulous staff, delicious breakfast and evening beverages every day. Walk to the beach in five minutes, walk to at least 30 or 40 restaurants in minutes.

absolutely charming... comfy, quiet, and clean. our room was a nice place to just hang out when we were too lazy to go anywhere, and the common areas felt very much like an extension of our room. i spent hours in the hammock by the pool! andrea's dogs are very sweet, and i hardly ever even saw the cat. a week after leaving, i feel homesick for casa andrea... is there a higher recommendation? i can't think of one.

Casa Andrea is a charming place on the outside, but after Andrea leaves it becomes a free for all. There are many animals wandering about and they will wander into your room. Beware, they bite, especially the cats. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone that doesn't like animals.

Charming casitas

Most rooms enter to the open air patio fully-equipped kitchen area, overlooking the lush tropical garden courtyard and overlooking the pool with waterfall and palapa bar below, with the bedroom and bath behind. This quaint B&B is like staying with your well-to-do Mexican relatives... if only I had some! One of the quieter hotels in PV as it is away from the street and only has a small number of rooms.
