This beach abuts Playa Principal; the only thing separating the two is a tiny freshwater lagoon (the mouth of Río Rigadillo), which trickles onto the sand. Skiffs can be hired out for fishing or dolphin- or turtle-seeking expeditions, or as water taxis to nearby beaches. Beginning to intermediate surfers can catch some waves near the east side of the bay. Lifeguards keep watch from several towers.
