On a quiet street near Santo Domingo church, Oaxaca Ollin feels like a well-kept secret. Two small buildings surround a patio with a pool; those on the top floor have small balconies with wrought-iron furniture. Cheerful rooms have beautiful tiled bathrooms and traditional touches like headboards carved with elaborate calla lily designs and wooden armoires instead of closets. Breakfast includes plenty of fresh fruit and pastries and tasty regional dishes. The staff is unfailingly friendly and the tours they arrange of the city and crafts villages come highly recommended. Pros: Peaceful atmosphere, lovely rooms, relaxing rooftop terrace. Cons: Rooms aren't terribly spacious, breakfast isn't lavish, some steps to climb.

My wife and I stayed in this wonderful little bed and breakfast in June of this year. First and foremost, the location is excellent. Ollin is on a quiet side-street in a serene neighborhood but very close to the zocalo. The staff is helpful and the breakfasts are "to die for". We would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking for an enhancement to their visit to Oaxaca.
