Inspired by the book Like Water For Chocolate, this second-story restaurant wears its heart on its sleeve. The pale yellow walls are covered with quotations about food, including, "To table and to bed you need call only once." The food is equally romantic, with a whole section of the menu dedicated to foods like quail in rose-petal sauce (a dish inspired by the book and movie). The best choice, however, is the espejo de moles (a sampler of five different moles over chicken). The tables on the balcony overlooking the Alameda are the best in the house.

I expected a lot more. The room was OK, the food was a bit disappointing. The service was impeccable. My partner liked it more: she enjoyed the food. We had the quails in rose petal sauce and Champandongo. Good but underwhelming.
