Perfect for those in search of a little solitude, these private, tile-roof villas cling to a cliff above the gorgeous beach for which they were named; you descend to the idyllic beach via a steep staircase. The villas range in size from a small studio to a three-bedroom abode with a private yard. A favorite, called the Puebla, has two bay-view balconies. The road out to the secluded property is dark; this is not the spot for those who want to go into town at night, although the strip of establishments at nearby La Rinconada is burgeoning. Pros: Good value, nicely decorated rooms, direct access to one of the area's best beaches. Cons: Need a car to get around, no a/c in some rooms.
