Internet, Mail & Shipping in Mexico's Caribbean Coast

Internet, Mail & Shipping

More Travel Tips »

Many of the more remote places on the Caribbean coast rely on e-mail and the Internet as their major forms of communication. In Playa del Carmen, Internet service is cheap and readily available. The best places, which include Cyberia Internet Café and Atomic Internet Café, charge $3 per half hour. In Puerto Morelos, Computer Tips is open 9 AM to 9 PM daily. In Tulum, the Weary Traveler, across from the bus station, and Savanas, next to the Chilam Balam Hotel, have complete business services, including Internet and fax.

The Playa del Carmen correos (post office) is open weekdays 8 to 7. If you need to ship packages or important letters, go through the shipping company Estafeta.
