By Bus in Mexico's Caribbean Coast

The bus station in Chetumal (Avenida Salvador Novo 179) is served mainly by ADO—Autobuses del Oriente. Caribe Express also runs buses regularly from Chetumal to Villahermosa, Mexico City, Mérida, Campeche City, and Veracruz, as well as Guatemala and Belize.

Buses traveling to all points except Cancún stop at the terminal Avenida 20 and Calle 12. Buses headed to and from Cancún use the main bus terminal downtown (Avenida Juárez and Avenida 5). ADO runs express, first-class, and second-class buses to major destinations.
