Yalkú

Fodor's Review:

Devoted snorkelers may want to walk the unmarked dirt road t Yalkú a couple of miles north of Akumal in Half Moon Bay. A series of small lagoons that gradually reach the ocean, Yalkú is an ecopark that's home to schools of parrot fish in superbly clear water with visibility to 160 feet. The entrance fee is about $8, and there are restrooms available.
