Fodor's Review:

This was one of Playa's first hotels. The spacious rooms have luxurious details such as mahogany-and-glass sliding doors and chic Tommy Bahama accessories. The hotel complex includes a restaurant and a bar, adjoined by a common room beneath a towering beachfront palapa, where amber-color sconces sit atop zapote beams for a romantic effect. You can happily kick off your shoes here—the floor is made of sand.
