Café Sasta
Café Sasta Review
This sweet little café serves fantastic coffee drinks (cappuccino, espresso, mocha blends), teas, bagel sandwiches, and baked goods. The flan is sinfully delicious, and the staff is very pleasant.

Alexvizzio, from Playa del Carmen
It is a nice café and coffee is acceptable. The problem with this place is its waitresses. I live in Playa for 20 years and, I usually get a bad service, I have noticed that, if they don´t like the locals they would deny the outdoor tables saying the table is already taken. My friends like to meet me there and in already two occasions when I have arrived earlier the waitress tell me outdoor tables were not available, I would try to sit down outside but the waitresses would tell me the table is already taken. When my friends arrive, if the table was still available, we would sit down but, last Tuesday March 1st, I went there with a friend around seven pm. and when we were about to sit down the waitress signaled at us the table was not available, I noticed the table wasn´t clean so we thought the customers were in the bathroom. We sat down across the street at Posada Freud´s bar for a drink and, a group of tourists went to Sasta and asked the waitress for the table and she gave it to them right away. The table was not been reserved by this group because they were staying in the middle of the pedestrian walkway in front of the café wondering where to sit down, then one of them signaled at the vacant table and they hesitated about it. Finally, they obviously made up their mind and asked the waitress if the table was available to which she replied nodding her head and began to clean the table right away.
I hope the person that runs this place reads about it because is aggravating how the staff profiles people since this place is highly pursued for coffee due to its location.
