Mercado Insurgentes

  • Address: Between Florencia and Amberes, Zona Rosa, Mexico City

Fodor's Review:

The Mercado Insurgentes (Mercado Zona Rosa) is an entire block deep, with entrances on both Londres and Liverpool. This typical public neighborhood market distinguishes itself from others in one noticeable way: most of the stalls (222 of them) sell crafts. You can find all kinds of items—including serapes and ponchos, baskets, pottery, silver, pewter, fossils, and onyx. Expect to pay slightly higher prices here than at the Mercado Artesanal de la Ciudadela.
