Bazar del Centro

  • Address: Isabel la Católica 30, just below Calle Madero, Col. Centro, Mexico City

Fodor's Review:

Bazar del Centro, in a restored, late-17th-century mansion built around a garden courtyard, houses several chic boutiques and prestigious jewelers such as Aplijsa (55/5521-1923), known for its fine gold, silver, pearls, and gemstones, and Ginza (55/5518-6453), which has Japanese pearls, including the prized cultured variety. Other shops sell Taxco silver, Tonalá stoneware, and Mexican tequilas.
