Tamales Emporio México

Tamales Emporio México Review

If you like tamales, this is the place. This small restaurant with traditional wood furnishings and murals serves delicious tamales, made using recipes from all over the country. Tamales come in all forms: wrapped in corn husks or wrapped in banana leaves, filled with poblano chili and cheese or with chicken and green mole. The recipe from Chiapas is exceptional, and includes green olives, almonds, prunes, egg, red pepper, chicken, and mole. These tamales are unusual in a city where the only options are often chicken with red or green salsa. Be sure to get in early, especially on weekends. The restaurant does sometimes run out of its most popular tamales, even early in the day, because tamales are a popular breakfast item.
