Hippodrome

Fodor's Review:

Housed in a 1930s art deco building near Parque México, this newcomer boutique hotel adds some hip style to the already vibrant Condesa neighborhood. The building was remodeled by architect Nahim Dagdug and Tom Shortt, the hotel owner. All 15 rooms are done up in browns and subdued colors with marble bathrooms. You'll settle in easy with flat-screen TVs and memory-foam beds. Despite these luxuries, some rooms still feel a little low on space. The hotel's restaurant, the Hip Kitchen, with a menu designed by Richard Sandoval, serves up contemporary Mexican fusion food. Pros: An added bonus? Guests can use fashionable Qi Fitness health club just blocks away. Cons: Rooms are little for what you're paying.
