This five-story 1906 hotel, referred to locally as El Génova, has a pleasant lobby with traditional colonial-style carved-wood chairs and tables. Guest rooms are small but comfortable, with modern furnishings. The attractive Salón Jardín, part of the popular Sanborns restaurant chain, has art deco stained-glass flourishes. Pros: It's in the heart of the Zona Rosa. Cons: Service and decor are only so-so.
