Nikko México Review

Occupying a prime Polanco position adjacent to the Bosque de Chapultepec, this hotel is a five-minute walk from the anthropology museum. With signage and menus in Japanese, English, and Spanish, it caters especially to business travelers. It's the second-largest hotel in the city, and has marvelous views from the top-floor suites. The lobby is filled with paintings by important Mexican artists. There are also several small galleries in the hotel, including a branch of the highly regarded Galería Alberto Misrachi (www.misrachi.com.mx). Each room soothes with subdued earth tones and bamboolike walls; two rooms are done in Japanese style, with tatami mats. Among the restaurants is the excellent Benkay.
