The epitome of good taste in all things Mexican, La Valentina devotes itself to rescuing and promoting traditional native cuisine. It avoids gimmicks with balanced dishes that are soft on the palate, yet fragrant, with blends of chiles, herbs, nuts, and flowers. Starters reflect specialties from across the country, from the Sinaloan Chilorio tacos to the famous panuchos Yucatecos (fried tortillas with Yucatán-style spiced chicken or pork). The place is very hard to find, upstairs inside a mall between calles Anatole France and La Fontaine.

Expensive but otherwise far from memorable.
