Fodor's Review

The first W hotel in Latin America grooves with sassy red, black, and white colors under colorful fluorescent lighting. It manages to be informal and chic at the same time, with the staff clad in casual black rather than the usual stiff uniforms. Guest rooms have some outside-the-box design: bathrooms are big enough for a dance, strung with hammocks, and are outfitted with pressure-point showers; sinks are placed inside the bedroom European-style. Work areas have enormous

desks and ergonomic chairs; some rooms are outfitted with faxes and scanners. See and be seen in the red lobby bar or just chill in the Whiskey Bar. The Away Spa and Fitness Center has a huge pre-Hispanic temazcal (adobe-domed sweat lodge).

Mexico, Mexico. . . Te llevo en el Corazon. . .

I recently(in June) went to the W Mexico City.I usually don't like hotel chains, but this one was the exception. The hotel is in the uber chic Polanco with stores like Chanel and Louis Vouitton. The staff is incredibly helpfull. The food in the very chic restaurant is very good (**the breakfast**) and in the night the bar in the lobby area, transforms itself in THE place to be in Mexico City. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathroom is the star

of the whole room. It even has a hammock ( A hammock in a bathroom?!!)The hotel is very near local attractions and the concierge was excellent. Don't miss the THE place to be in Mexico City.
