Characterized by pale colors and a spalike atmosphere, Mexico's first design hotel strikes a harmonious balance between style statements and minimalism. New Age music is piped into the rooms (you can turn it off, of course), and bowls of limes sit by state-of-the-art TVs. The swanky tapas bar, Area, has beautiful open-air views and draws plenty of chic chilangos Thursday to Saturday. Pros: Large rooms, nicely decorated, unique concept. Cons: Hidden charges, some difference between rooms.
