Zoëtry Casa del Mar Review

It's all about comfort and privacy at this award-winning, hacienda-style hotel. An ancient hand-carved door leads into the courtyard-lobby, and stairways curve up to the spa, library, and guest rooms—each of which has a view of the sea and the beautiful white-sand beach stretching in front of it. A few steps above the main bedroom, guest quarters have bathrooms with whirlpool bathtubs. Streams, fountains, and gardens lead around the pools and across verdant grounds. Golfers are well taken care of at this genteel property, as are, increasingly, wedding parties. The staff here is notable for its hospitality and attentiveness.

Great small hotel with wonderful beach and several pools

My husband and I stayed at Casa del Mar twice - once under the prio owner and the last time as a Zoetry - and thoroughly enjoyed both experiences. If you like small, quiet and relaxing, this is the place for you. We had a decent sized room with a very comfortable bed and beautiful view if the breach and ocean. Yes, the are some time-share condos adjoining the property! But no one will bother you to purchase or even view one unless you inquire. During our stays we were given the utmost privacy from the staff and other visitors, but the staff was very attentive when you needed a refill or had a request. The craziness of downtown Cabo is a short cab ride away so you can still get your party on but come back to tranquility when you have had your full. The food was very good on site, but I would highly recommend a reservation for dinner at Las Ventanas - just next door. We were given a cart ride over and decided to walk back on the beach after having a five star dining experience with the best service and food I have seen in a long time. I would highly recommend this hotel if you like small and quiet with some upscale touches, but not too ritzy.
