This restaurant in San José del Cabo offers one of the most creative menus imaginable, coined cocina lux. They feature only the top in Mexican boutique wines, and cook up delicious and creative dishes: fish aguachile (a spicy soup), lobster flautas, yellow banana mole, orange soup, and avocado pudding are just the beginning. Cocktail specials include a Spicy Martini and a Sweet Martini. Sunday there's a brunch from 10 to 4.

After suffering through disappointing dinners at Edith's and at the restaurants at the One and Only Palmilla (before the opening of Nick San, which is has great Japanese fare), I became sceptical of finding innovative cuisine in Cabo. This restaurant was a stunning culinary experience: Mexican spices and produce combined into delectable dishes, served with grace. The wine, from North America's oldest winery, a 2005 Casa Madero Cabernet, was a treat and a bargain, at about US $16. The soups (jalapeno corn and black bean) were very good, as was the barbecue chicken stuffed pasilla chili. The sea bass in chili with steamed greens and amaranth was outstanding, as was the pork ribs with smoked sweet potato puree and dried chili. The Mexican chocolate churros and divine ice creams and sorbets, with flavors of basil lemon, coconut, cilantro and sweet potato, were made on the premises and of perfect consistency. The strawberry confection in a banana leaf was also remarkable. The food is not to be missed.
