While other surrounding properties have gone up, up, up, the two-story villas of Club Cascadas haven't changed a bit, since the day award-winning architect Ed Giddings and his wife, Pat, finished the immaculate, whitewashed Club 20 years ago. At first, the lack of telephones and televisions at this friendly timeshare/hotel mix can be shocking, but give it a day or two, and you'll enjoy reliving the Dark Ages, technologically speaking. Be romantic, sleep in, talk to your kids, or make new friends. Also available for rent is their Casa Pablito, a small bed-and-breakfast located nearby, for those who wish to arrive early or stay later. Casa Pablito (www.casapablitoloscabos.com) comprises 14 studio condos, with kitchens, 1 pool, and a common dining area, where breakfast is served. Club Cascadas Info:
