El Comal Review
Without argument, Boulevard Mijares is San José's Restaurant Row. There are more than enough places to satiate your dining desires along this quaint street. Nestled in "La Casa de don Rodrigo" building, El Comal serves up affordable dishes such as fresh fish, carne asada à la Tampiqueña, flank steak, and cabrilla (sea bass) with mango sauce on a bed of mashed potatoes. There is also live music Thursday evening from 7:30 to 10.
