Casiano's
Casiano's Review
A colorful interior of bold red-and-blue stripes and a very graphic-chic aesthetic beguile you as you enter this inventive restaurant. "No menu, no rules" is the way it describes the "spontaneous cuisine" dining experience you're about to enjoy here. If you're an open-minded, trusting, and adventurous eater, you'll enjoy this restaurant, which is full of surprises. Give yourself up to top chef Casiano Reyes, who's worked at both Las Ventanas and El Chilar. Your waitperson will provide you with a general list of ingredients available for the day, such as Brie, goat cheese, heirloom tomatoes, shrimp, lobster, scallops, snapper, prime beef fillet, and foie gras. Give him or her an idea of your tastes, and let the kitchen create the perfect surprise dish. Five-course meals and food-wine pairings are the specialties. Reservations are strongly recommended.

My husband and I are frequent travelers and love innovative dining experiences featuring quality food and service. Casiano's did not disappoint and now holds one of the top spots for my dining experiences. To begin, the staff is passionate about what happens at Casiano's and ensures the whole dining experience meets the patrons' needs. There are about three different staff attending the table at any given time, but you would never know it. Everything arrives seamlessly and is precisely timed for a fantastic presentation. More importantly, the food is exquisite. We chose the 5 course experience. Don't be put off by the first course portions when they arrive. You will be served the perfect amount of food to appreciate the variety you will be provided (many of the courses have three different offerings on one plate) and still leave full at the end of the night. It is clear that the chef uses only the freshest of ingredients that can be found at the time and uses creative techniques in putting them all together. My only disappointment was that the meal ended...but not before the chef came out to greet us because we enjoyed our meal so thoroughly. If you are in San Jose del Cabo or Cabos San Lucas....do NOT miss Casianos.

An exceptional dining experience. The "spontaneous cuisine" approach is great fun for adventurous diners. Unique, innovative, unlikely combinations that worked perfectly every time. Sommelier made great wine pairings. Service was professional, very attentive and friendly, but not intrusive. Preparation, presentation and quality were comparable to the very best restaurants in the U.S. These people seem to truly enjoy their craft, and it showed!
