Cocktail tables along the cliffs have full-on views of El Arco, making this the best place to toast to the sunset and another beautiful day in Los Cabos before moving to the candlelit dining room. Or merely remain outside, and enjoy dining alfresco. Italian Chef Emanuele Olivero has paid his dues in Los Cabos, with time at La Dolce in San José, at C in the Palmilla, and also at Pitahayas, before bringing his ideas to full fruition here at the Mona Lisa. The restaurant's four seasonal menus all depend on the ingredients that are in season at that particular time. How about ravioli filled with pumpkin, or La Paz blue crab covered with a cinnamon white sauce? Or seared halibut with crunchy polenta, sun-dried tomatoes, and asparagus tempura? Or go all out with the Grand Mona Lisa Tasting Menu, and try just about everything on their extensive menu. The restaurant is not really in the Corridor, but not really in town either; just a couple of miles up the hill—a short and relatively inexpensive taxi ride, well worth the trip for a sunset cocktail and dinner. Make sure you appreciate their Mona Lisa tile artwork both close-up and standing back a distance—an interesting optic illusion ensues.

I was there the first week of June with a group of friends and dining under the stars with the sound of crashing waves was an amazing experience. We were all very impressed with the food and the presentation. I met the chef (can't remember his name) who told us about his previous experience in a two stars Michelin restaurant in London. He prepared for us a special testing menu accommodating one celiac in our group.
I went back the day after with my wife as we had to have the Vulcano dessert one more time. Definitely a must have experience in Cabo.

I could not disagree with the Fodor ratings more. The setting for this resturant is beautiful sitting on a bluff overlooking lands end and the city of Cabo, however just a wonderful as the setting the food was polar opposite. four of us dined and each of us we disappointed with their meals, fish undercooked, veggies overcooked, poor service. Perhapos we were there on a bad night, but a place like this should newver have a bad night, you would be much better served eating at Mi Casa or the Office
