Los Cabos Shopping

Puerto Paraíso

Puerto Paraíso Review

As Los Cabos continues on its upscale trajectory, it's safe to declare that this region has arrived and the shopping here has gone palatial. There is no better, or more apt, way to describe Puerto Paraíso, the city's thriving, air-conditioned three-story marble- and glass-enclosed mall. With well more than 100 stores, boutiques, restaurants, galleries, and services, it's quickly becoming the social center of San Lucas. Paraíso offers a dizzying selection from "A" as in Amarone, an Italian gourmet restaurant, to "Z" as in the Zingara Swimwear shop. If you're in the mood for a tasty steak or a big salad, dine at Senor Greenburg's Mexicatessen, custom-design your own bikini, check your e-mail at an Internet café, shop for beautiful art glass, or rent (or even buy) a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, then plan on spending substantial time in this shopper's paradise. Kaki Bassi, a longtime Cabo resident and well-known artist, has opened a gallery here, as has Sergio Bustamante, an acclaimed silversmith and sculptor. Clothing shops include Cotton Club, Tommy Bahama, and Quicksilver, plus a number of beachwear boutiques such as Allegra, Serdio, Dos Lunas, Arena, Tropica Calipso, and Nautica. A bowling alley and a 10-screen movie theater complex will take care of your entertainment needs.
