Stunning architecture, a property-wide art collection of unique pieces, noticeable attention to detail, and loads of luxurious touches make the Marquis a standout. Suites have Bulgari toiletries, reversible mattresses (hard or soft), high-speed Internet connections, and original art. The 28 casitas, at 1,600 square feet each, are great for families—with private pools and refrigerators—and are right on the beach. A serpentine swimming pool, the length of the hotel, curves along the edge of the sand. Word is out that the Marquis has developed a number of new and unique custom-tailored packages such an Elopement Package, which includes, among other things, the rental of a Mexican wedding dress and tux, and a Hummer hung with a "Just Married" sign that whisks the newly-married couple back to the airport. Other packages include the Surf & Turf, essentially rounds of golf, cigars, and surfing lessons; and multiday digital photography and painting trips that allow visitors to delve into unique aspects of Los Cabos. The Marquis recommends that you book these packages online, and well in advance of the dates of your planned visit. Food is excellent and reasonably priced.
