Los Cabos Hotels

Villa del Palmar

At a Glance

    Pros

  • large rooms with kitchenettes
  • great location on Playa Médano and near all of Cabo's offerings

    Cons

  • the oldest of the Villa Group properties on Playa Medano, Palmar facilities and rooms need updating and, in fact, a major renovation began in late 2009, which should be a consideration when you're booking your stay

Villa del Palmar Review

The whale-shape waterslide traversing the three-level pool is perhaps the best indication that families and kids are welcome. The large marble-floored entry welcomes you into a property that is as comfortable and casual as a vacation home—if vacation homes came with a full-time staff on hand. Rooms are not cramped, but they're not as well designed as those you'll find at the sister properties (which are, admittedly, more expensive), and the comforters and furniture are more '80s than 21st century. Still, the staff is friendly and happy to help you arrange adventures in the area.
