Esperanza Review
This is an utterly polished inn with a focus on exquisite privacy and truly luxurious, but not over-the-top, accommodations. Some suites are right on a secluded beach; all have handcrafted furnishings, Frette linens, and dual-head showers. Even the smallest suite is still a heavyweight at 925 square feet. Villas take the luxe even further with private pools and butler service. The Penthouse Suite (which will run you a minimum of $2,500 per night) offers one of the most stunning views of El Arco imaginable. Californian and Mexican recipes get a Baja twist in the restaurants, which generally get high ratings. The spa, which is our favorite in the region, takes treatments to a whole new level, with 12 individual and two couples treatment cabins, steam caves, and a waterfall. Treatments with novel ingredients leave even the most sun-beaten skin soft and rejuvenated. An on-site art gallery showcases local painters and sculptors.

I believe the hotel may be undergoing financial problems. There attempts to steal our money were desperate, outraging and unrelaxing. The room was badly in need of repair, which nobody offered to do (AC broken, fan too noisy to run at night, broken shower head, speakers broken, TV broken). For $800 per night, unacceptable. They charged us for an extra night. Double charged us for meals we ordered. We had to ask the hotel for several charges to substantiate them with proof of our signatures. We were charged for $2300 of incidentals unrelated to us. Others had the same experience. We did not have one meal that was served correctly. The pools were too cold to swim in. Apparently they instructed not to heat them. They collected top dollar from us, while desperately trying to cost save and steal our money. We left feeling extremely distrustful of this establishment. There was absolutely no value. Choose Palmilla or Las Ventanas.

We visited Esperanza from Feb15toFeb17 2007, after staying on Feb 14 2007 at Las Ventanas al Paraiso.
La Esperanza seems to have been built and run to compete with Las Ventanas al Paraiso. But Esperanza does not come close in service and details to Las Ventanas. Given that both places cost the same, it is not just to pay the same price for Esperanza, STAY A LAS VENTANAS IF YOU CAN, IT SO MUCH MORE WORTH IT!!
