The state of Baja California Sur has instituted an emergency number for police and fire: 060. A second number, 065, is available to summon medical assistance. Both numbers can be used throughout the state, and there are English-speaking operators. For medical emergencies, Tourist Medical Assist has English-speaking physicians who make emergency calls around the clock.
