Lighthouse of the False Cape

Fodor's Review:
The abandoned shell of a lighthouse built in 1890 sits amid sand dunes, some more than 500 feet high, and overlooks the cape and a 1912 shipwreck. To reach the lighthouse by land, you need an ATV, a four-wheel-drive vehicle, or a horse. A dirt road slightly north of San Lucas, off Highway 19, leads to the lighthouse and a secluded beach where turtles come ashore to lay their eggs.
