$$$-$$$$, Loreto
Fodor's Review:
The rose-color walls of this surprisingly chic hotel rise beside downtown's plaza. The public areas are its forte. A glass-bottom pool doubles as a skylight above the atrium lobby, and the rooftop sundeck and restaurant have huge planters of bougainvillea. Exposed beams and locally crafted tile adorn the lobby and hallways. Guest rooms, however, are less inviting; they can even be very dark and noisy. The rates are appallingly high for the location. Have a drink at the rooftop bar for a good view of town and the mountains.
