By Bus in Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo

The two bus companies that serve the region, Estrella de Oro and Estrella Blanca, have terminals near each other at the southern edge of Zihuatanejo on Carretera 200. Estrella de Oro has a ticket office in Ixtapa's Plaza Ixpamar; Estrella Blanca's Ixtapa office is in Centro Comercial Los Patios. Estrella de Oro bus company has deluxe service to Acapulco, Morelia, and Mexico City. Estrella Blanca offers first-class service to Acapulco, Morelia, and Mexico City, as well as to a few intermediate destinations.

Minibuses run every 10-15 minutes between the Ixtapa hotels and downtown Zihua until 10 PM; the fare is about 50.
