This resort sits on a tiny island called Isla Yunque, and is connected to the northern tip of Isla Mujeres by a long wooden bridge. The seaside suites take advantage of the gorgeous location with balconies overlooking the ocean. (Regular rooms in the hotel tower are small and don't have balconies.) The greatest draw is a warm, natural pool between the two islands. Maintained by the Avalon, the pool's calm waters make it a safe place to snorkel and swim with the fish. Be
warned: this is a time-share resort, and preference is given to those who bought into the "Paradise Found" program. The sales pitches are relentless, but if you can be stalwart in your refusal, you may be able to enjoy this lovely property.
