Formerly known as Zazil Ha, this beachside restaurant at the trendy Na Balam Hotel is clustered under big, shady palms, but for more intimate dining you can ask to be seated upstairs under a palapa roof. Homemade breads, yogurt, and granola make breakfast a treat. Later in the day the kitchen serves innovative vegetarian fare, like salads with coconut, mango, and mint vinaigrette, as well as traditional Mexican dishes and a killer burger. Musicians from Mexico, Cuba, and the Caribbean often play during the weekends, turning the restaurant into an after-hours island hotspot.
