How's the Weather?
Guadalajara is said to have one of the most pleasing climates in the world. For most of the year daytime temperatures hover in the low eighties and the nights are clear and cool. The city is susceptible to bouts of dry heat in May and June, when the temperature can surge to 38°C (100°F). Afternoon and evening downpours occurring July through early October douse the heat (and bring air pollution to its lowest annual levels), but turn streets into rivers. Temperatures in the mornings and nights are cooler from November to early February (lows may plunge into the 40s).
Whatever the weather in Guadalajara, the most pleasing pastimes include exploring the city's charms on foot (during the rainy season, bring an umbrella or a raincoat, or simply time it right and plan to be indoors—perhaps sipping margaritas—during the afternoon downpours).
