Hotel Morales

Fodor's Review:

After being abandoned for 30 years, this downtown hotel—originally a 19th-century rooming house—has been transformed into one of the city's most luxurious lodgings. No wonder it's the choice of celebrities ranging from movie stars to soccer heroes. Demure guest rooms have crown molding, blond-wood floors, and gold-and-beige furnishings with an old-world style. Café tables on the rooftop terrace make for a casual retreat. The lobby and restaurant are much more formal. Pros: Relaxed elegance, double-paned windows keep out the noise. Cons: Lobby restaurant isn't cozy, no Wi-Fi in rooms.

  • Hotel Details: 59 rooms, 7 suites.
  • In-room: safe, refrigerator (some).
  • In-hotel: restaurant, Wi-Fi hotspot, parking (free).
  • Credit Cards: AE, MC, V
