This branch of the reliable international chain sits in the heart of historic Guadalajara. Completely renovated in 2007, the hotel has new mattresses, new bedding—the works. It's all done in a soothing gold-and-white color scheme. Rooms have nice touches like plasma TVs; the bathrooms have glassed-in showers, but no tubs. The breakfast buffet is a good deal, and the restaurant serves national and international dishes. Pros: Helpful business center, 24-hour gym, cheerful rooms. Cons: No heat, no pool.
