On a quiet side street, this appealing two-story colonial-style hotel faces a small triangular plaza. Potted palms and geraniums surround a gurgling stone fountain in the courtyard sitting area. High ceilings and arches, as well as friendly service, make up for somewhat worn furnishings. Rooms facing the San Francisco patio are generally the quietest. Pros: Expansive breakfast buffet, double-paned windows to cut down on the noise, friendly staff. Cons: Unimpressive room furnishings, cheap plastic showers.

I stayed in this hotel for 5 days in April 2007. The price is right though it can be noisy if you get the room in front of the street side. The staff are friendly, clean rooms and it has nice colorful patio with some huge plants. The breakfast buffett in the restaurant is good and it is only $6.50 and they gave you a pitcher of coffee. The location of the hotel is right in the heart of downtown GDL that makes this hotel a better choice. I'll stay in this hotel again when I visit GDL.
