The most popular non-Mexican restaurants are scattered about west Guadalajara, in Zona Minerva; however the best Mexican food is near the main attractions in downtown Guadalajara, Tlaquepaque, and Tonalá.

Reservations are usually required Wednesday through Sunday. A main course usually costs around $10, and alcoholic beverages start at $3 or more, even in cheaper restaurants.
