Choosing a place to stay is a matter of location and price; tourists are often drawn to the Centro, where colonial-style hotels are convenient to the historical center and other sights, or to Tlaquepaque's genial B&Bs, like the Quinta Don José. Businesspeople head for the area around Avenida López Mateos Sur, a 16-km (10-mi) strip extending from the Minerva Fountain to the Plaza del Sol shopping center, where they can take advantage of modern office facilities and four-star comforts. Several hotels, like the polished Hilton, are near the Expo Guadalajara convention center.
