Gold's Gym (Av. Vallarta 1791, Zona Minerva. 33/3630-2220.) has three convenient locations. The Vallarta location is close to the Centro and has the best hours (weekdays 6 AM-11 PM, Sat. 8 AM -9 PM and Sun. 8 AM -3 PM. The Xóchitl branch is the best equipped, with a pool, climbing wall, and basketball and squash courts. Xóchitl and Niños Héroes are open until 10 on weekdays and 5 on weekends. Guest passes are $9.50.

The health club at Presidente Inter-Continental (Av. López Mateos Sur 3515, Zona Plaza del Sol. 33/3678-1227), open daily 5:30 AM-11 PM, admits nonguests for about $15.
