Bullfights
Corridas (bullfights) are held Sunday at 4:30 from October to December at Plaza Nuevo Progreso (Calle M. Pirineos 1930 and Calz. Independencia Norte, across from Estadio Jalisco, Zona Huentitán. 33/3637-9982 or 33/3651-8506), which is 5 km (3 mi) northeast of downtown (Buses 60, 60A, and 600 will get you here). Tickets are sold for the sol (sunny) or sombra (shady) side of the bullring. Buy tickets ($8-$70) at the bullring or its booth in Plaza México. Novilleros (apprentice matadors) often work the cape between 8 am and 2 pm; it's free to watch them practice.
