Banks & Exchange Services in Cozumel

Most of Cozumel's banks are in the main square and are open weekdays between 9 and 4 or 5. Many change currency all day. Most have ATMs that dispense pesos, although dollars are available at some ATMs near the cruise-ship piers. The American Express exchange office is open weekdays 9 to 5. After hours, you can change money at Promotora Cambiaria del Centro, which is open Monday through Saturday 8 AM to 9 PM.
